Crazy quilt blocks kimono silk table runner
This is an elegant table runner with complicated crazy quilt blocks done in sedate kimono fabrics. There are fabrics with flowers, bamboo and maple leaves both dyed and woven! The triangular blue blocks that alternate with the crazy quilt blocks are delicately stitched in sashiko (a Japanese embroidery technique). The table runner is lightly padded and quilted, the reverse is blank, soft white silk noil. This is the perfect table runner for a formal dining or living room, a side board, or table!
This table runner is 100% vintage silk, with cotton batting. It is NOT washable, it MIGHT be dry cleaned but I do not offer any guarantees (vintage silk is tough to clean because the dyes used are unknown). The table runner is 14 inches wide and 57 3/4 inches long.
Where did the fabric come from? This fabric is all vintage kimono silk that came from bolts (rather than finished kimono) that I purchased from Japan or came as part of a lot of other fabrics.
