Hand dyed and hand spun shades of blue and green Teeswater wool yarn
Most of the time, I dye fabric. But my little sister loves knitting and spins, so occasionally she talks me into dyeing projects for her. (Yarn turns out great, my first attempt at dyeing roving accidentally yielded a long felt strip....) This is the result of a MUCH more successful roving dyeing experiment. The roving was shades of deep teal blue, bright green and hints of yellow, it has spun into a deeply varigated dark blue-green with hints of other colors visible in the ply. The two plyed yarn is soft and has a springy plush texture.
This yarn is two plyed Teeswater wool. The weight is probably "worsted" The length is approximately 300 yards. This yarn twisted into a hank for easy handling. If you would like it wound into a ball, please ask!
