Striping varigated pinks and purples hand dyed cotton yarn
Most of the time, I dye fabric. But my little sister loves knitting and spins, so occasionally she talks me into dyeing projects for her. (Yarn turns out great, my first attempt at dyeing roving accidentally yielded a long felt strip....) This striped yarn is a product of one of those projects! It is patterned in a color repeat of lilac, plum purple, raspberry pink and dark pink. (It should be able to be used for "self striping projects" but I do not knit or crochet, so I am not quite certain of that!) The yarn is soft and squishy, with an interesting ribbed, crimped texture. It is perfect for a scarf, hat or other wearable project, it drapes without crimping and is completely washable!
This yarn is hand dyed 100% pima cotton. The size is listed "worsted weight" and it has 20 sts per 4" on US 6-8 or 4-5mm. (I have been assured these measurements are important, but I don't have actual experience with them.) The length is approximately 550 yards. This yarn has been wound into a ball.
