Where you are

Where you are,

Did you see the flowers bloom?

The deep pinks of the plums…

The lightest,

Brightest shades of ume blossoms.

The crisp and smelly whites of the pears?

The crocus were late this year,

And the daffodils early.

The sakura you planted is a little taller.

You loved the wisteria,

Now planted in my garden.

I walk through banks of spring color.

And wonder:

Are there flowers where you are?
